What things cost, before we start. Every figure below is confirmed in writing before any work goes ahead.

Call-out and hourly rates

Prices exclude VAT unless stated. TO CONFIRM: state clearly whether you are VAT registered and whether these figures include it.
How we charge
Do I pay if you cannot fix it on the first visit?
You pay for the call-out and the time on site, because the diagnosis is the work. If parts are needed we quote the return visit before we leave, and there is no second call-out charge for the same fault.
Is the quote fixed or an estimate?
Planned work is quoted at a fixed price after a survey. Emergency work is charged at the rate above, because nobody can price a fault they have not seen yet.
When do I pay?
On completion for domestic work. Landlords and agents can be invoiced on account. TO CONFIRM: set your payment terms.
Are the prices different further from your base?
Our core Sussex patch is charged at the standard rate. Outlying jobs may carry a travel charge, which is agreed on the phone before we set off.
